A caller seminar with renowned American caller Wade Driver will take place in Bratislava on May 3, 2013 (Friday) before the 22. Star Májovka dance begins. The seminar will start at noon (12 p.m.) and end at 3 p.m. The topic is “Caller presentation” – cadence, timing, flow and markedness.
Price: Attendees will be asked contribute with 5 EUR only in order to cover the hall rent and other small running costs. Wade Driver’s fee is covered by the CzechoSlovak Callers & Teachers Association.
It is very important for us to know in advance the number of participants. We would like to ask you to confirm your participation at doug@square.cz. The contributions will be collected on the spot.
Other information: Dancers for the demonstration square will be available. It will be possible to use the dressing room and tee/coffee machine as well as to buy beverages at the dance school. Dance shoes are required!

The venue is located about 3.3 km from the venue of the 22. Star Májovka dance. It is recommended to park the cars in front of the Obchodná akadémia Imricha Karvaša building at Hrobákova 11.
For those who do not come by car: There is a bus stop of the 68, 83, 92, 95, 96 and 196 lines at the traffic lights about 150 m from the venue. The name of the stop is Hrobákova. If you come by train to the Bratislava main station, the best way is to take bus 83 that stops about 250 m under the main station (it is necessary to walk over an elevated footbridge and then to cross a street); the name of the stop is “SAV” and the direction to take is “Vozovňa Petržalka”. The Hrobákova stop is the eighth one and it usually takes 13 minutes to get there. A 15-minute ticket (for 0.70 EUR) should be theoretically sufficient but it is recommended to use the 1-hour one (for 0.90 EUR) instead. Tickets are sold in ticket machines (they give change back) or at newspaper stands (but not at every one). The time table for the bus 83 can be found here.
A supermarket is located near the Hrobákova stop as well as the Red Café restaurant where we could have a late lunch after the seminar (or an early lunch before the seminar). Dancing at the 22. Star Májovka dance starts at 6 p.m.
